…about who I am: moments of clarity and confusion
…about what I read: how books echo my life
…about where I am: including who I miss
…about what I like: style and inspiration
…about how I think: in pictures, letters and sounds
"Love that will not betray you, dismay or enslave you,
It will set you free.
Be more like the man you were made to be.
There is a design,
An alignment to cry,
At my heart you see,
The beauty of love as it was made to be"
I wanna dance the tango with chance I wanna ride on the wire Cos nothing gets done with dust in your gun And nobody respects a liar So goodbye for a while I’m off to explore Every boundary and every door Yeah I’m going north
I wanna know where children would go If they never learnt to be cool Cos nothing’s achieved when pushed up a sleeve Till nobody thinks you’re a fool So goodbye for a while I’m out to learn more About who I really was before Yeah I’m going north
Up where the hunted hide with ease Under the arms of eye-less trees Up where the answers fall like leaves Oh and your love is all I need Yeah I’m going north
This song has so much meaning in my life, Missy released this CD when I moved to North Yorkshire; and my time there was (and still is) everything and more that she sings about. In bold are the lyrics that truly touched me and still mean so much to me. Every time I hear this song I am transported back to almost 4 years ago, at an incredibly easy and peaceful time in my life - when I was drop dead happy, there were no cool kids, I was learning about myself, and had just fallen in love.
